About the Project:

District 5 is a comprehensive residential and commercial project located in the New Katameya area. It is the first land project by Makariz in this region. The project focuses on providing a complete living experience that combines housing, entertainment, work, shopping, and education.

Location:

District 5 is situated in the New Katameya area, near AUC University. It is 7 minutes from the Cairo-Suez Road, 8 minutes from AUC University, 13 minutes from Maadi, and 19 minutes from Cairo International Airport.

Area:

District 5 covers an area of 268 acres, with 141 acres dedicated to administrative and commercial activities, and 127 acres allocated for residential units.

Launch and Delivery Dates:

  • The project was launched in 2018.
  • Unit deliveries began in 2021.
  • District 5 Mall opened in 2022.

Number of Units:

District 5 consists of more than 1,800 residential units.

Commercial Mall Area:

The commercial mall in District 5 spans between 120,000 and 140,000 square meters.

Concept of District 5:

The concept of District 5 is based on five key elements that shape the lifestyle journey in one destination:

  • Live: The residential aspect.
  • Play: Entertainment and activities.

  • Shop: The commercial mall and shops.
  • Work: The administrative and commercial aspect.

Master Plan:

The master plan includes District 5 Mall (D5 Mall) and a Lifestyle Center that features restaurants and cinemas, in addition to the D5 Campus which contains exhibition rooms and administrative offices. It also includes Mindhaus, a separate project with expected delivery within less than a year.

Residential Aspect:

The residential section of District 5 comprises several phases, some of which have been completely sold out while others are available.

Tenant Companies:

District 5 hosts several tenant companies, such as Maersk Training, Elsewedy Electric, La7, Zadea, Red Bull, and many more.

Design Participating Companies:

Many international companies participated in the design of District 5, including WilkinsonEyre and Machado Silvetti, among others.
